毎日、 人々は処方された精神医学的薬物療法をやめることを選択し、 医師および臨床研究者は患者または研究対象者が処方薬の服用をや めることを決定し、時には中止または撤退のプロセスを見過ごす。 この発表では、 精神医学的投薬を中止または減量する医学文献の体系的なレビュー （2000〜2017）からの発見を提示し、社会構築、言語、 コンフリクト、権力、能力、資源、 諸アクターなどの概念を使って、 精神医学的知識のこの領域を特徴づけ、 社会科学者のための潜在的な研究の方向性を議論する。
The Sociology of Psychiatric Drug Discontinuation

Everyday, people choose to stop taking their prescribed psychiatric medications and physicians and clinical investigators decide if their patients or research subjects will stop taking their prescribed medications and sometimes oversee the process of discontinuation or withdrawal itself. Reviewing and characterizing the literature on this common phenomenon has never been attempted. In this presentation, I will present some initial findings from a systematic review (2000-2017) of the medical literature on ceasing or reducing psychiatric medications. I will also use concepts such as social construction, language, conflict, power, expertise, resources, actors and systems to characterize this area of psychiatric knowledge and discuss potential research directions for social scientists.
